There's the BT box again, and now the top tarmac layer has
been applied to the whole of the bottom road. Although not 'officially
re-opened' yet, it was possible to drive through at the end of the day. 23/2/06 |

2.30pm Friday and the workmen have finished early, not
because of P.O.E.T.S. but because they may be called out to salt the local
roads tonight - snow is forecast. The bottom road is open while the road
up past St Andrews Cottages is most definitely closed. Just behind the
'Road Closed' sign and to the left they've connected up the manhole at the
base of the wall (below which is the old western stream) to the new
system. 24/2/06 |

A pair of BT cables - here suspended above the new
concrete on the left from the piece of wood - were slightly damaged
externally when this connecting trench was excavated. 27/2/06 |

A BT engineer has repaired both cables. 28/2/06 |
