The trench fill is brought up with aggregate to the level
ready for tarmac. The tarmac will however not be a top finish at BT are
due to come and dig up some of this again soon!

the western stream and the Tristford Road scheme...

smooth mortar work on the rough cast concrete.

This was another of those pipes
whose source and destination was not known so to be on the safe side it
was decided to route it into the manhole. Not so easy! A small square was
cut out of the pre-cast concrete ring so the pipe could feed into that.

This section from the manhole to the junction with
Tristford Road was re-excavated not for the drain this time but to lay a
new BT conduit. this too is now ready for tarmac. But they can't concrete
round the manhole today because it's Saturday (no ready-mix available on
Saturdays).
