Folk Sessions
A
wealth of good folk music is on tap - free of charge - at a variety of mostly
informal sessions
(mainly in pubs, but not all) across southern Devon, and beyond, practically every day of the week, usually on a
regular weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis where you can just sit and listen, or take part yourself.
If
you're not a "regular", it is advisable to check with the organiser and/or venue
before setting out. And
why not try out the area's folk clubs.
The Flaxey Green website
used to maintain detailed session listings for much of Devon, but that website
no longer exists.
The listings below were copied as plain text from Flaxey Green before it went
offline in September 2022. No details have been checked since then. Any email
links were 'hidden' and could therefore not be included below. Sorry about that!
Please note that the information is given in good faith but no responsibility
can be accepted for its currency and/or accuracy. Do check with the organiser
before setting out on a long journey.
The Flaxey Green listings were organised in day-of-the-week order (Day Event Venue Time):
